PBX in a Flash 2.0.6.X
As of December 03 @ 1141 Eastern
CURRENT ISO VERSION
2.0.6.0.1 - 32 Beta 2 - It is recommended you destroy the beta 1 version and
only test with the beta 2 version. In the final release version of PIAF 2.0.6.x
You will be unable to install using any beta ISO. Also all future release
versions of the PIAF will only work with the very latest version of the ISO.
Unfortunately this is required from an OS standpoint.
2.0.6.0.1 - 64 Beta 1 - First release please send us feedback!
CURRENT PAYLOAD VERSIONS NEW INSTALLS
The list below is the default version of Asterisk that PBX in a Flash
distributes. In other words when you do a NEW install from OUR ISO (Which is the
only supported way) and choose one of the menu choices these are the versions
you will get installed by DEFAULT. This applies to PBX in a Flash 2.0.6.X ONLY!
PBX in a Flash Purple
Asterisk 1.8.7.2
Libpri 1.4.12
Dahdi 2.5.0.2+2.5.0.2
PBX in a Flash Red *BETA*
Asterisk 10.0.0-rc2
Libpri 1.4.12
Dahdi 2.5.0.2+2.5.0.2
For the moment we no longer support versions previous to the ones listed above
directly. As Asterisk progresses and once PIAF 2.0.6.X is out of beta we will
add the command piafdl -p beta_1871 back in.
UPDATE-SOURCE - EXISTING INSTALLS
This only applies to PIAF Purple/Red!
You can update existing version of Asterisk in the same family by using the
EXPERIMENTAL update-source program.
You cannot upgrade between families! Thus you CANNOT upgrade between Asterisk
1.8.X to 10.X.
The file located in /etc/pbx/digiumsource.conf controls versioning and can be
changed to upgrade or downgrade. As we DO NOT SUPPORT versions previous to the
ones listed above you will be expected to manually configure Asterisk during
compilation. Thus if a PIAF created auto configuration file does not exist you
will be shown the make menuconfig screen automatically.
In order to use this program you must specify the version you want to use
WITHOUT the beta_ preface! Thus in order to install Asterisk 1.8.7.1 you would
change
PASTERISK="asterisk-1.8.7.1"
NOTE this program is EXPERIMENTAL!
INSTALLS ON PREEXISTING CENTOS INSTALLS
This is not currently supported. If you want to see this please donate to the
PIAF project. Unfortunately the old method of doing this is unreliable and wont
be supported in the final release of PIAF 2.0.6.X. Once we get sufficient funds
we will get it done.
What does 2.0.6.0.1 MEAN?
The version number refers to the INSTALLED ISO VERSION ONLY! It has nothing to
do with the actual versions of the programs we have created.
thus for the current ISO
2.0.6.0.1 =
2.0= The Pbx in a Flash Version. The next version will be 2.1
6.0 = The version of Centos. Then next version of centos is 6.1
.1 = This is the release version of the ISO only. Sometimes the ISO's are
updated when new rpm's or kernels are available.
